Robert Maslow’s Heirarchy of Needs places belonging right after physiological and safety issues.  Indeed, it is one of the most basic needs of humanity, but what does it mean to the spiritual life?

To answer this question, we join Mary Hynes to explore the implications of belonging in the spiritual life.  However, it is the other side of the question that I find most interesting – what happens when you don’t want to belong?

To answer that side of the question, Mary speaks with a fallen-away Italian Catholic who found herself in Ghana – a land where not believing or practicing is simply not accepted.

Then Mary turns to the question of who can belong?  This rather fascinating perspective takes place from the perspective of Israel.  So join us for a multi-faceted, very interesting week.
