Subtler Ways

I have always believed that one of the most basic descriptors of people is the introvert/extrovert category.  North America is slightly more extroverted as a culture and yet most of our traditions (especially in education and religion) favour the introvert.  For example, I have done a lot of work and research on extroverted spiritualties over the years.

But this week, we look at life from the introverted perspectives – not just in terms of spirituality, but as an introvert lives in a very extroverted social structure.  Mary Hynes interviews Susan Cain, author of Quiet:  The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking

In this book, Cain explores what happens when society subscribes to the idea that success is dependent on the your personal degree of loudness and confidence?
