Richard Dawkins vs. Cardinal George Pell

I think just about everyone knows Richard Dawkins, the renowned and well-published atheist.  Cardinal George Pell, perhaps lesser known to many, is the “Ordinary” or head of the Archdiocese of Sydney, Australia.  Pell is also chair of several Vatican committee and expert on moral issues.

These two towering figures squared off on a debate which aired on Australian television.  I must confess that it is one of the better debates I have seen on science vs. religion-related topics as neither man pulled their punches.  Additionally, the debate tackles all the usual arguments but with a personal point of view from both men.

If anything, the debate is balanced and entertaining, but you are sure to learn a few things as well.
