Why You Will Fail to Have a Great Career

Anyone out there looking for a job knows the chances of finding a great career is nearly impossible; and even at best, a good career is a long-shot.

Enter Larry Smith, an economics professor at the University of Waterloo, story-teller and advocate for youth leadership.  In his rather humorous and frank TED talk at the University of Waterloo, he sets his audience straight on the realities of a great career.

One by one, Smith goes through all the excuses one could conjure as to why a great career is outside of a person’s grasps.  Think you have no real interest?  No passion?  Not creative or crazy enough?  Feel like you are willing to work hard but just never been given the opportunity to do what you are good at?  Feel like you are missing your opportunities?

Tune in and gain perspective as to why a great career eludes you.
