Political Bridge People

The gridlock in Washington has reached a fever-pitch – perhaps this is the only thing that people can agree on in that city!

So how do you move past the gridlock?  How do lawmakers begin to get something done?

The answer is found, at least in part, in this interview.  Pete Domenici, former Republican Senator of New Mexico, and Alice Rivlin, a veteran economist who served in numerous Democratic administrations, both suggest that we must learn to listen without hating and without becoming bombastic and irrational.

The interview is wonderful all the way through, but the end is especially good – so enjoy!
